I wan wondering how I hook up my Nintendo 64 to my stereo. I can get sound, but no video through the tv. the tv does not have a/v input. Also I was wondering if i can play the game through my Directv Reciever which has a/v plugs on the back, except i cant get anything when i try that.

I have a tv and video.

My video is connected to my tv by scart lead I think :S

I looked at the tv and there is no other spare holes for me to put in leads.
So what do I do?

I have one of those splitter things, no wait I have 3!

Beacause I have Cable TV I think I need to plug my N64 into the Cable Box, you know, one of those set top box thingys.

Someone please help me!
all you gotta do is put one of those wire splitters into yer tv ( the ones with 2 round metal bits coming off of a pentagon type shape , that you plug the cables into) then you turn on your tv , find a channel to tune your n64 and cable tv into , and it should work. i pluged a load of wires into the back of my tv and now i can get the snes, n64 , playstation , atari , any signal i want into the tv (only 2 at a time ) but they all work on the same channel which is ace !

It depends what you mean by 'cable box'! If you mean a box that lets you connect something such as two scart leads into one socket, make sure if there is a switch on it that it is switched to the right setting. Or that the leads are connected correctly, because most of the time The sockets can only take in or out!

I spend hours playing around so that I could get stereo sound! Now I got most of mine conected through scart leads. I have got it so that I have a scart lead going from my N64 to my Video then from my video it goes to my TV and Stereo. this way you ccan get stereo sound for films and TV as well.

But if you only havve a TV, you can get a lead that will get any sound off your TV (inclueding sounds from cconsoles & videos) and put it into your stereo!

Its well worth it, you really do notice the diffence in sound quality when you go back to mono.
