many people complain about violence in games corrupting us. yeah right...

How many people do you know who have played a game, then purchased a Sniper Rifle and climbed a tree outside Woolworths. then casually start picking off the security cards outside?

okay, you know six....

Is that serious..?

Didn't think so....

So why do people complain about it....?

Any ideas?

Once I knew she was in good hands, the atrocity didn't seem so

I had no problems with computer game violence until this morning when I realised that on GTA3 you can pull a little old lady from her car then beat her to death with a baseball bat and take her money.
I can take pretty much anything within gaming, but beating the frail old lady to death was a bit too much.

I was pretty appauled by the whole affair and was about to write a strong worded letter to the makers of this game when suddenly, an ambulance pulled up to help the old lady!
Once I knew she was in good hands, the atrocity didn't seem so bad.

So I took the ambulance :-)

The papers will complain about anything to get publicity. Ignore it and enjoy brutally murdering people with baseball bats.

"Why did you kill him? Affair?"

"No way"

"Money?"

"Uh, argument...?"

"NO!"

"Why?"

"He hadn't given me back my copy of GTA....."

"That's not a very big deal...."

Pulls out a handgun and shoots him to the floor, using every bullet. Holds gun to haed and pulls trigger....... oh, wait, no bullets...

I would love to see something like that introduced to a police drama show...

"You were found at the scene of the crime holding a kitchen knife, in the same room as the deceased. We know you did it, but we haven't found a motive. Had he been sleeping with your wife?"

"No."

"Did he owe you money?"

"No."

"Had he stolen from you? Or damaged any of your possesions?"

"No."

"Had you been drinking or taking hallucinogenic drugs?

"No."

"Had you been playing Tekken?"

"......."
