What ever happened to the days when the best console around was the SNES. The SNES had some of best games i have ever played. And that is something because ive had a PS1, an N64 and ive got a PS2 at the moment. The best game on the SNES has to be Mario Kart. It was completly amazing and it took me about 2 years to complete. The N64 version on the other hand was crap. It had good gamplay and graphics but I completed it in a weekend and then it was just boring! Other games that were good were mostly all the Super Mario games apart form Yoshi's Island. Super Mario World was brilliant. The amount of levels in it was astonishing and the Yoshi part of the game was great.
Today's games have better might have graphics but you can't beat the imense gameplay that was on the SNES. This just shows that games might be vastly improving graphically but they aren't improving much in the gameplay field. What would you rather play, a game that has great graphics but is impossible to play or a game with alright graphics and is absolutely brilliant to play?
The SNES was the first proper console I had a Spectrum and even it had a few games that I would put in with my all time favourites. Has anyone ever play Dizzy for the Spectrum it was great!
Honestly though have games really improved gamplay wise much since the SNES and the Mega Drive were around?
