I think the orangeness has somethng to do with foundation.

I didn't know the TV Times had an orange 'segment'.

Sometimes, when Red TV used to be on, the presenters looked green because of the technique they used to make a fancy background.

Once had a Spanish teacher who took some tanning tablets to impress some young senorita. Didn't work as the cerotene just turned him completely orange. Fantastic.
