Damn my GC and Xbox! They make my N64 games look SO fuzzy. Goldeneye's is extremely blurred, and it used to look so good. Rush 2049 is a fuzzy fuzz of fuzz. Why is fate so cruel to my old games?

I regularly play ISS 98 and it looks a state compared to modern footy games. The gameplay is still there though, and it's a whole lot of fun.

F-Zero X, however, looks fairly good, still. And this is strange, considering it was one of the games I thought didn't look good when I own a large bunch of N64 games.

Ah well.

A good way to look at that is by comparing PES2, with PES. THere is only a year between them, but PES2 looks miles better. And Midnight Club 2 and Midnight Club? Hah!

I was thinking of the difference you get over time with the same hardware. Compare something pretty poor like MRC on the N64 with Ridge Racer 64. Same hardware, million miles apart.

Which makes me wonder what it would be possible to get out of the Xbox. PGR looks lovely, but that was a launch game. Imagine what PGR 3 (well they will do another one I would imagine) would look like.

I know what you mean Hedfix. I been playing for 2 years or so on my PS2, and a few months on me Cube, and when I went round to my mates, after a blast on the PS2 we decided to have a laugh and play FIFA 99 on the PSOne. Damn that thing gave me a headache and nausea!

Remember all the hype over the graphics in Gran Turismo for the PS1? Take a look at it now and laugh.

i watched my aunty (she still has a 64) playing majora's mask the other day, OH MY GOD! i could not believe how crappy the enviornments looked, and when i played it when it came out i thorght it was the best looking thing ever.

I don't understand though, i'm sure that my games never used to be blurry, but how they r, oh how they r!

Its how fast the game industry has moved in the last few years. I have got a Sega mega Collection for my Dreamcast and I can still enjoy playing the original Sonic. However when I try to play anything on my PSONE it just looks and plays so awful. I wonder what we will think of Zelda: Wind Waker, Halo, GTA Vice City in another 5 years time :)

Hum. Same here. Went to play PD, and apart from the controls being crazy, the graphics were awful.

Go GC is all I can say..

Aw, I wish they made thos N64 classics into gamecube games. Just direct ports except the graphics were improved.
