I thought it was alright until you got on the ground. I thought the control system was badly though out too, anyone else think that?
Considering it was only a Beta Demo it was quite good.
I shall have to wait and see.
Breeds one of the only PC games I've bothered to pay attention to over the past year.

I hope they fix all the problems before the game is finally released, because it has lots of promise. Still, after playing the demo I'm not going to risk paying any money for the game until I know for certain it plays better than the mediocre demo.
Well, they could well change the whole game before they bring out the full version. The finished version of Railroad Tycoon 2 was far different from the demo.
It's a below average shoot em up fest. It starts off well, shooting from a minigun in a dropship fltying over an island, but when the on foot action starts things start going down hill.
A.I. is rubbish, your fellow soldiers just about manage to shoot aliens and follow you around everywhere, past that however A.I. is pretty much non excistent. The action is relentless and boring, with no recoil in any of the guns despite their huge size, which does impact the game. The graphics are nice enough, and landscapes and buildings are huge in size, but on the whole it's a bit dull looking. Just to top it all of the demo doesn't even let you use any vehicles, just shoot guns from a couple which is crap considering how many vehicles are supposed to be on offer in the full version.
It's not a bad game, just not a very good one. Sure it's a demo but there are allot of problems which really need to be sorted out before the final release, single player wise anyway. Multiplayer could save it from oblivion though, but right now I'm just not convinced and will be spending my £30 on something else.

What is the demo like? Is it a few mins of game play or could you easily spend a few hours playing it?
