Check the stats. Can any newbie beat it!?
There's an extra couple of months missing too! I joined up as 'Baz' a few weeks before the PS2 launch.

What does it take to be a regular? I look at the site every week day, post occasionally, and for over a year now!

well, your close to being a regular, you've got the days down, the word count is 'good' for 340+ days :) but your post count needs to be at 300 to change, ok?

I thikn that a more appropriate status for people such as myself would be 'occasional'.
i.e. someone who posts a couple of times a week - not enough to shoot to 'regular' after just a week or two of spamming, but has been here long enough for the newbie status to be pointless. e.g. 6 months?
What do you think staff?

I am quite an old newbie. Not as old as some of you. I have only started posting during the last month. In theory, as long as you have registered and signed on, you can stay a newbie for ages if you do not write too much or post too many times. Hey, I have just noticed that I have appeared on the top 100 this month for words. And I still retain my newbie status. Excellent ! Newbies unite (until I am regular of course!)

Perhaps he has another, more widely recognised name?

Just asking

The oldest newbie is dan.

That's right. The lucky kid who nabebd that name when the forums began.

Because this kid registered the name first, Novemeber last year came when SR decided that no two people could any longer have the same name.

Dan2K1 (known as Dan back then) had to change his name to err Dan2K1.

Who is this dan, the one who bagged the ever so popular name?

I'll pop a topic for you in Prime.

It was hilarious when I first read it.

Stats had been newly introduced and newbies were posting and spamming like mad to get a purple name.

This "dan" had been around for over 500 days (compared with the 3 days it took a spamming newbie to get over 100 posts) and this topic was his third post ever!

LOL!

Let's hear it in Prime for the one and only:

dan!
