In the past my sick days have bought me a widescreen TV, a DVD player, and other such things.
This time, it was a GBA.
I placed the order on Friday afternoon, and it arrived this morning.
Only I went back to work this morning. Or at least, that was my intention when I left the house.
My car didn't want to go to work, and when queuing outside Cambridge it was a case of turn back now, or have the car pack in in the queue.
SO, with engine steaming, and the temperature in the red, I turned back. The radiator is the problem.
But that's not the point of this post. (There's a point?)
No. It just so happens that I'll have to get the bus into work for at least the next week, so my GBA has arrived just at the right time.
I'll be able to sit on that awful bus, and not notice how dull the ride usually is, as Mario Kart Super Circuit will keep me busy.
So GBA.
GameBoy Advance. Great, Brilliant Awesome. Gaming Bus Action.
They were the Pokemon games which would've formed with or without the franchise.
All the best elements of the first games only with more Pokemon to catch, better graphics and animation and a whole load of new ideas.
Another great Gameboy game (which formed from the franchise but that doesn't matter) is Pokemon pinball.
Even it's just a spin off pinball game, it's still been well made with a lot of thought and imagaination put into it.
I can see why you didn't want Pokemon Snap or Pokemon Stadium on the N64 though.
Turbonutter is also a Pokemon master!
You see, I told you all that it's a fine RPG for ALL ages.
Thanks Turbo, you've made my day! :-)

I did that many times with PokÈmon Blue. Seriously.
You have been warned!
(I'm probably too later already...)
I always end up buying something when I'm ill or otherwise. Usually something that will prevent me from spending my money on "more important things".
Like a Gamecube. :0)
I've finally managed to convince myself not to buy a PS2 though, so that's a good thing. Only buy three bloody games for it anyway. Spend more on the system than the games.
Hope you enjoy your GBA anywho Meka.
