Ok, apart from the overwhelming attractiveness of the front cover, the actual news itself is impressive. The godly writers at NGC have worked their socks off to bring us a dreamlike TEN page review of Luigi's Mansion, an EIGHT page review of Wave Race: Blue Storm and a SIX page review of Super Monkey Ball. Right, the fact that these people working for NGC are the best writers in the industry is a great assistance to the great games themselves. Super Monkey Ball being the best of the three Japanese GameCube launch titles with an impressive 92%. Wave Race: Blue Storm achieving a just-as-impressive 91% and Luigi's Mansion, my originally most anticipated title of the three, getting a damn-good 90%; and may I just say, that ALL of these titles look gobsmackingly gorgeous. Each one looking as good as the other, each one a must-get for your sparkling little GameCube.
However, before actually opening the blissfully smooth magazine, you are likely to get distracted by the equally eye-catching free poster/information sheet. It's a mock magazine called 'Spook' and inside is a step-by-step guide on how to import a GameCube. The most interesting part of this free gift, to me, is the pictures of the packaging that the GameCube will come in. Whether it will be the same design for us Europeans is another matter, however, whatever the design, I'm sure it will be good, because the Japanese design is simple and stylish.
On to the magazine itself, the information that is first likely to catch your eye is the Luigi competition up-date. If like me, you entered this, then you will be surprised by how many people actually DID enter. You'll also be surprised by the weird and wonderful ideas that some people had in hopes of winning. They said that were models ranging from clay Luigis, papier machÈ Luigis, five-foot high Luigis, glass Luigis - and, in one unfortunate case, a Luigi that got mangled by a careless postman. Now, after reading this interesting information, I realised that my chances of winning with my quality plasticine Luigi were very slim, very slim indeed...:-(
Well we all know how good NGC are at the layout and design of the magazine, and also how they excell in their descriptive manner, so when I saw that they had a horde of games on offer to read about, I just got even more excited. They have Soul Caliber 2, Zelda, Resident Evil Biohazard, Simpsons Road Rage, Pikmin, Star Wars Rogue Leader, Doshin the Giant, All-Star Baseball 2002 and of course the three stunningly-long Japanese reviews of Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm and Super Monkey Ball. Not to mention the lovely information on us Europeans having been left out of a release date yet again. Nintendo signing a deal with Capcom for the Resident Evil games. 1080 Snowboarding might be scrapped and rumours about the might Square joining Nintendo for certain - oh, and some worrying news on the Japanese launch day being "Quiet" and that sales weren't exactly 'huge'.
Everything in this magazine is great; just like a good, quality book. I couldn't put it down. I might just find myself reading all the reviews again just to keep me occupied and free from utter boredom.
I guarantee that everyone who takes a peek at the Resident Evil shots, Pikmin images, and release game reviews will want to get a GameCube. Simple as that, it looks awesome, gaming will be at it's best ever when the GameCube hits our shelves, it will be the pinnacle of gaming as we know it...that is until the next Nintendo console reaches our sandy shores.
One of the most stunning and impressive news articles and pictures inside the magazine, has to be the stuff on Resident Evil Biohazard. Just one look and you wonít be able to tell from surreal and reality. The graphics and effects are THAT good. Apparently, Capcom have announced that they will be remaking all of the games they have created so far on previous platforms. This means that Biohazard is, in other words. Resident Evil 1 first released on the PS1. The difference in graphics is colossal. They have a number of pictures comparing the two, and it is amazing. Resident Evil will have your jaw dropping to its lowest point and, almost certainly, will have you wanting to purchase every single Resident Evil title available for this wonderful box oí tricks. Iím sure I will, and Iím almost certain that Resident Evil fans will be gagging for GameCubes just to play them.
Well, is thatís not enough to wet your appetite, then I donít know what is, to be honest. If you havenít already popped down to your local newsagents and bought this exceptional mag, then I suggest you go now. Be warned, after reading you might be left with serious ëGameCube anticipationí syndrome; heh, I know I have! :D

Pokemon Stadium 2!!!
Lol.
As for this issue of NGC.
It IS good
> as it covers the launch and the Resident Evil news as well as lots of other nice
> bits and pieces.
It also showed how the Gamecube's Japanese launch produced 3
> times as many class titles and the UK PS2 one.
It'll be the best issue for a
> while. I won't be getting another one until the UK GC launch.
Hopefully NGC
> will have lovely demo disks by then...
We can only hope...
Unfortunately, I doubt it :(
Only the official magaine will have the right to do that! :(
yes, that will mean NOM's sales rising significantly. However, it won't stop me from buying NGC.
Oh, and about Nintendo being very secretive about their games, well, if they won't release games like Pikmin, etc then they will leave it to third-party developers instead - games they aren't so bothered about! :-(
Ah well...
SHOCKY
