"Who buys singles?"

I have not bought a CD Single since 1998, please could someone tell me why people still buy them. This is why i stopped buying them.

I brought the Album and could hear it on there. The radio and Muscic Channels play it enough for me.

Waste of Money.

Last of all i can download it if i like the song but don't want the album.

I still buy singles, but ONLY because sometimes the other tracks on an album are absolute crap.

Singles often have extra tracks that arent on the album. A must for completists...

I know, but sometimes they can be absolute crap aswell!! Take Alien Ant Farm-Smooth Criminal, the track is good, but the extras are Orange Appeal and...oh what was it.....that other crappy one!

Quite often the version you hear on the radio etc. is a 'radio edit' and can sometimes sound very different to the album version.

As the single is usually the first version you hear (unless you already own the album it's from) then you may prefer the single.

It's so you can play it in your car, and look Cool :o).

Plus some Singles have mixes on which can be quite good, but I haven't bought a Single since Christmas, 'cus I got Sky, and they are played so much on the Music Channels, that I get bored of them by release time.

Not really.

I get a few Manics and Radiohead for B-sides and to help me think I'm making it get the acclaim it deserves on the stupid charts.

I buy singles. The bads I like have EXCELLENT B-sides (sometimes better than the title track!) and if you're a true fan, you'll support your band in getting to number 1.
