I know its slightly off subject, but for 'pain sounds' the best game would have to be kingpin. when you set someone on fire you feel genuine remorse, and the sizzling flesh sounds are quite disturbing ....

A lot of FPS games have nicked the 'porn sounding' pain sounds from Goldeneye and PD. Nightfire and Timesplitters spring to mind.
Once we played Timesplitters 2 round my grans and when a female bot got set on fire and screamed my gran thought we were watching dodgy porn!
