There's a recent question in the FoG Chat forum about when this game is available.

Just in case anyone misses it there, I'm posting it here...

Madden NFL 2002 has been available since Friday 12th October, and it's well worth getting.

I don't want to tread on SR's toes as they're doing trade-ins now, but if you don't have a local SR shop, then try Game. I traded in Madden 2001 for Madden 2002 and they gave me £20 off for it.

it's a mark of a good game if your not particularly interested in the subject matter but still get it because of the gameplay. actually if it wasn't for the madden games i probably wouldn't like american football

I am not a fan of American Footie but the Madden series looks brillinat. The TV style presentation looks amazing..But I still think there is not enough action in there for me.

well i'm a fan of the sport and there's some things madden comes out with i don't know what on earth the play's gonna turn out like. american football is far more tactical than rubgy and the hits are harder without all that padding there'd be a huge amount of injuries

I guess that must be true. I remember I used to have the EA double header for my old megadrive. It had a really good hockey game that I liked and used a great deal, but it also had an american football game that I never got the hang of. I tried it many times, but hadn`t got even the slightest idea what was going on!

Hello.

No, I was never really a fan of NFL either. "Rugby for wusses... too much padding... too many stops & starts" etc.

But the 2001 version looked so good that I learned the rules just to be able to play it! And now I watch NFL on Sky, too.

It did help that I have a mate who's always been a big fan, and indeed used to play for the Northants Storm team. Made it much quicker to pick up the rules.

Once you understand it, it's an extremely tactical game.

Hiya Wookiee!

Personally I`m not a fan of that kinda game, but still I`ve heard they are very good. The original got 86 or something like that in PSM2, so I imagine that if the sequel is better, it should be a very decent game.
