Nintendo held a press conference in Japan yesterday to discuss SquareEnix's upcoming RPG - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

Nintendo announced that the game would run at 30 Frames Per Second. This is not what most of us are used to since a majority of Gamecube titles run at 60 Frames Per Second. The loading time in the game will range from four to five seconds. In order to play multiplayer you will need a GBA. Crystal Chronicles supports Progressive Scan.

Once you begin the game, you'll be able to choose between single and multiplayer. In single player, you will travel by yourself but instead of getting Experience Points when you defeat enemies, you'll get magic, money or different items. At the beginning of the game you'll choose a name for your village, character name, hair color, gender, race and parent's profession.

30fps is fine when whatever is on-screen is moving fairly sedately, such as Zelda or Final Fantasy. With racing games, however, particularly fast ones (lo F-Zero), you're going to see a big improvement in smoothness at 60fps.

MOVIE FILM IN CINEMAS IS 24fps.

Anything higher is a bonus.

The original poster of this thread should do his homework.

60fps is really only worth it for a large LCD/100MHZ/110MHZ supporting TV.. or maybe a PC/IN connection.

Anything beyond 24 frames per second is a bonus. That is all you get in TV anyway isn't it?
