Who else thinks that without the CAW mode in WWF games, that it wouldn't be as playable and involving than just playing with default players? I have to admit using the normal wrestlers is brilliant, playing with your own created, customised wrestler is much more enjoyable. It's so detailed in creating your own wrestler that you can create yourself to the last minute detail. Which is more fun, doing a career with say, your favourite wrestler and winning the WWF Championship OR doing a career starting from the bottom of the ranks to WWF Champion, using your own customised moves and taunts? I think you all know what the answer is :)

In my view, the create a wrestler mode is now needed to make a wrestling game a top one but it is not the main feature. It is just as important or more important for the career mode to be good and for the game to have a good selection of different matches and wrestlers.

I don't know...I think the Career mode is the real heart of any wrestling game. Think about it, if you will, without the Career mode there would be nothing interesting to play on. Also, SmackDown! 1's CAW was so limited, there was no fun in it. If the CAW is sufficiently detailed, then maybe it is the best bit, but I prefer Career mode myself

I have made some really, really good CAWs for No Mercy.

My fave is 'Wild Pegasus' - ie, Benoit when he was wrestling in Japan.

What i think is important in wrestling games is how up to date it is as i only us CAW for updating the game, like on WWF NO MERCY for tne N64 i made WIKED Rhyno for, so some tomes is go to be able to edit the wrestlers your self!
