I would like to see an internet link-up feature! Maybe one where you can play against every other person who is playing PD online! Of course you couldnt have everyone playing all at once against each other! So instead you are given a skill level (a number, and every one staarts off at skill level one! Then they fight everyone else who is on that skill level (or maybe the one above), then when you beat that person your skill level increases, then you can fight evveryone with that skill level (or above). This way you get to play against people that are of your level of skill, and it also makes a score board of who is the best at PD!
What do you think? And what would you like to see inclueded in the game?
The internet in the UK at the moment is skanked up, and I don't see it improving any time soon!
Also it's not the cheapest thing in the world. It's ok in my house cos we get it free 24/7 and it's only £15 a month between 4 people. But if you had to pay that on your own when at home, I can see as many people being bothered to do that.
I've got a Dreamcast and i've NEVER botherd to use it online. Why? Cos it's pointless! If I want to surf the net, i'll use my PC where I have a mouse n keyboard and also a decent resolution. As for the online games. Well there was only Phantasy Star Online really, and I ain't got that game. And I run up a big enough phone bill when at home, without the cost of playing that for hours on end!
So my point is. Yey for consoles to exploite network play more! Kinda like Wipeout on the Playstation. Only the problem with that was that you HAD to have 2 Playstations, 2 TV's, and 2 Copies of the game. I just want to be able to have 1 machine, 1 games, but 2 TV's!
Actually i've done that before! I used the signal from my N64 and made it go to 2 TV's. I then stuck a bit of cardboard over half the screen on each TV so that I could play Goldeneye with a mate, but without being able to see the other players screen. It was quite good, but everytime you came back to the options menu, you had to take the cardboard off so that you could see the whole screen!
:)
I'm looking forward to broadband gaming too though, for when my friends aren't round to play.
Cooky, broadband is much faster than normal internet. There won't be any lag.
I think Jo rules jus like Cate Archer in NOLF !!!
1. Nothing beats having your mate there when you beat him, so that you can laugh at him. Or just talk to him.
2. The internet costs far too much.
3. It's normally really slow n laggy.
What they should use for the next Perfect Dark game is some sort of network mode. So that you could have 2 Gamecubes and 2 TV's, link them up so that you could play against your mate, and have a whole screen to yourself. Well actually it'd be good if they could do that whereby you only needed 1 Gamecube. Whereby the signal goes to 2 tv's.
:)
4 player per Gamecube, each Gamecube representing a team.
4 teams of four HUMAN players competeting in the same room (although you would need 4 TV's) would definately be exciting.
If that's not possible though, I would happily settle for 8 player games (just 2 Gamecubes linked up.)
So long for now.
