14.03.2002-The launch date for Xbox in Europe!

Also confirmed The price of the console- £300 and games-£45.

The price of the console isn't too bad, it's the same as the PS2 was at launch. And £45 quid per game is ok, but only just acceptable so I hope prices drop pretty quickly. At least its not as bad compared with the GBA at £35 per game, which is a rip off.

So the Xbox will be in America in 29 days, in Japan by mid Febuary and with us in March. Not bad Microsoft.

Also the Toyko Game Show feedback for the Xbox has been very positive. The Japenise still think the console is too large but Microsoft unvieled their new tiny controller, which pleased many people who disliked the original design.
Many new games where unvieled too along with a strong backing by Sega. Phantasy Star Online and Shenmue 2 will both be making their way to the Xbox, improved of course.

The americans like it very much, the Japenise are warming to it and most of us Europeans like it too. Who was it that said Microsoft where going to fail?

Yeah, £35 for games is the only thing putting me off getting one.

My Dream Date:

Oh yes, I can see it now. Me and Estella Warren sitting down to candle lit dinner, copying the scene from 'Silver' where Sharron Stone removed her knickers whilst at dinner, we then go back to my house and....

I ebst stop there otherwise I might get banned.

Huh? What? What do you mean this topic is about the X-Box?

*Feels like a fool*

Wether the Americans like it or not is irrelevant. If it doesn't sell in Japan it will fail, pure and simple.

To be honest it's only £5 off a PS2 game. Don't go overboard.

Well, to be honest, have either of you played either console???

Nobody really knows for sure what each will be like until they have a go. Screenshots arn't to reliable in my view, not for future games, as things change during development, and Screenshots can be mocked up, tweeked, etc...

But I thik that £45 quid a Game ... No thats a RIP Off, lets face it, for that price per game ... how quickly do you think pirate software will be about ... very quickly.

But at the end of the day, it's hard to tell what the majority like and want, I could say most people like the GC better, when really.... how the hell do I know??

We'll just have to wait and see what happenes, but I reacon both will do pretty well.

I would much rather play the games available on the Xbox than any of those available for the GC. Except Perfect Dark 2.

Honestly very few GC games excite me whereas the Xbox has plenty of games that i'm itching to get my hands on.

Oh, how can you say the Xbox sucks, you haven't played it yet!
