I am.
Remember thrill kill? that cool game from virgin? It was gonna be the first 4 player fighter, (on psx, before smash bros or wu -tang taste the pain) but sony HQ decided that it was too raunchy and banned it.
WHY! why didnt they just give it an 18? I think adults can decide what they want. And im sure even 12 year olds have seen things like the fly and evil dead. We are a desensitised nation. We should be allowed to see and do what we like, as long as it doesnt hurt anyone else.
And what's worse is that every time a small skirmish breaks out (the gulf war, the kosovo crisis, this 'war' on terroism) the censorship effects everything, regardless of what it actully is. MGS2 is an ANTI terrorist game, but still the hyperactive all knowing american 'big brother' form of censorship is damning it with all other games with a trace of violence in them. Even GBA doom is effected, with green blood instead of red.
I'm not saying the recent tragidedy in america should be ignored, but what the hell does it have to do with games?
The worst thing about this is it is not new. Carmaggedon anyone? what was the difference between zombies and humans? who cared apart from the dog like media?
At least then you could download a blood patch to correct the problem. Today we dont have that choice.
And if the 'PC' trend keeps up, we will be bored stiff playing nothing but tetris and Pokemon. Actually scratch pokemon. P.E.T.A. are probably gonna ban that as it 'encorages violence towards animals'.
Sane censorship around children is O.K. but this is getting ridiculous.....
And anyway i havent seen your topic. It must be old.
Also Doom blood was changed BEFORE september the 11.
What do you think about censorship goatboy? you seem sane (apart from the name)
What on earth are you talking about?
Thrill-Kill (played it in Canada about 2 years ago) was a substandard beat 'em up with gory finishing moves.
You had a midget in S&M gear on stilts, a woman that shoved cattle prods down your throat, some mook with no arms that attacked you by breaking your neck and other cheesy moves.
It wasn't overly bloody, just bloody awful.
But it nothing like Wu-Tang "Taste The Pain"
Thank Christ
> Thrill kill had a name change and became Wu Tang Taste the pain, which so no big
> deal.
It was a;ot more different then just a name tiltawhirl, thrill kill was set around mental people ie arm-less doctors and pyscopathic domanatrix, wheresas wu tang was based around a rap group and the streets of new york and japan
> Have you actually played it?
yes i have played it i had an american copy and it was completly s***
ooo i was banned
it wasnt bloody it wasnt raunchy it was too slow ,hard to control and yet again i say it was CRAP
