Over the years wrestling, especially the WWF, has entertained fans and none fans alike with the acrobatics, the story-lines and the totally cheesy acting which makes you laugh out loud.
This topic is about the greatest angles of all time. What are they???

Lets start with ECW. I have been a big fan of the smallest of the "Big 3" since I first got the Bravo TV station a couple of years ago. I loved the hardcore, high-flying acrobatics done by the wrestlers. The storylines were also much more realistic than the WWF's. I also have to admit to liking the cat fights that the women always ended up having. :)

Lets think about some of the ECW angles.
There has been the whole Raven, Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk thing.
The bWo, set up by Stevie Rihards, Blue Meanie and Nova.
Spike against his big brothers the Dudley Boyz.
Cyrus and "The Network".
'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes VS Steve Corino
And going back a few years the angle where Cactus Jack refused to fight hardcore.

The biggest angle for the WWF in recent years was probably when Vince McMahon decided to get in the ring and go face to face with the champ, Stone Cold.
At this time in the industry there was nothing like it. Vince was the president of the second biggest (at the time) wrestling federation in America and he was trying to win back big ratings. He thought that the most hated person in a federation would have to be the manager and he was right.
Steve Austin was catapaulted into bigger fame than he had ever had before, and the WWF ratings went up.

The reason for Vince doing this was because of WCW, the biggest wrestling federation in America at the time.
Eric Bischoff had turned WCW into a big time company with a big helping hand from Ted Turner and his millions of dollars.
Bischoff had signed Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and before them, Hulk Hogan.
At one of WCW's biggest PPV's Bash at the Beach the three men were united in the ring as the "outsiders' a rebel group who left the WWF to 'take over' WCW.
The Outsiders became known as the nWo, the New World Order. During the next few years WCW scored almost all viewers who were at one time watching WWF programming.
Who could blame them? The WWF were using cheesy, unrealistic gimmicks like The Undertaker's Deadman gimmick while WCW were using a gang like angle with the nWo beating the hell out of anyone who got in their way.
It was thanks to Eric Bischoff and mainly Paul Heyman that the Vince McMahon brought in the age of "Attitude". No longer were fans going to be bored by boring gimmicks, the wrestlers were to have more control over what they wanted. Hunter Hearst Helmsly became Triple H and became loud and rude while Steve Austin left behind his Ringmaster gimmick and became the beer swilling, trash talking Stone Cold.

You may be wondering why I thought Paul Heyman helped bring about the "Attitude" era. Thats because Heyman and his ECW had been doing this kind of thing for years. They just didn't get the recognition they deserved.Only a hardcore group of fans bothered about ECW.
If more people had taken notice of Extreme Championship Wrestling then maybe the WWF and WCW would be under control of Paul Heyman and not Vince McMahon.

Anyway, I've ranted long enough and gotten off the subject line, so i'm gonna ask you people who bothered to read this crap what you thought the greatest angles have been.

In the Vince/Austin feud I always liked Vince!
Stone Cold just got on my nerves, and I like to like the bad guy!
I like Booker T at the moment as I think He's funny! and I've always liked William Regal, but not anymore! :D

What the hell are you doing chin? People are going to start thinking that we actually talk about wrestling in this forum :)

Despite it's lack of a conclusion, Raven/Dreamer was amazing and ran for a long, long time.

Jericho and Benoits feud that has ran through several federations would be my fave, but that wasn't really an angle.

Personally, I liked the Vince/ Austin angle best. It just had so many good matches and Austin was a great athlete them. Very entertaining.
