First of all I know what your thinking Geforce are far better, and I'd agree for sheer graphical performance yes but for inbuilt add ons like tv out dvd playback and connection to D.V ports No. Does anyone else agree that ATI may not rule the power roost, but are the best for multiple tasks (in other words are good for other things other than games)
Nope, not at all. Asus V8200 GeForce3 - comes with all of the above, video capture programs included with the card, along with all the power of the GF3 chipset. The new Radeon chip does look quite impressed (blazed a stock GF3 in benchmarks), but ATI haven't released much information about it, and they're notorious for having driver and compatibility issues, so I'll stick with my GF3..
I don't agree. ATI do make several multi-purpose cards, but you are much better off buying a Geforce card and a proper firewire/TV capture card if that is what you want to do, the ATI cards are usually basic or compromised as they are not specialised for a certain task.
