According to DVDBOXOFFICE Mario Kart is due to be released 1st December which is a Monday. Therefore this means it's either the total wrong date or anytime in december. Doesn't look very promising for a UK Christmas release does it?

It got it's ESRB age rating on Friday so the finished version is kicking about somewhere ....
If Mario Kart doesn't make it here for Christmas I'll just import it.

Wario World was released in Europe before other regions, not simultaneously. I think...

They are tweaking it. The version I was going to play in London was still being had work done on it.

My guess is that we'll have it in November.
As I quoted couple of days ago, latest copy of Nintendo Power (official USA mag)
Although we (still) can't confirm the immediate release of the Japanese version, the latest issue of US mag Nintendo Power states these dates: Japan - Summer, U.S.A. - Fall, Europe - Fall/Winter.
So get Freeloader and you should be able to play a Jap import in 6 weeks hopefully ?
