The time has come when I must acquire xbox live (due to all of work staff having it). I talked about this before and have played it at neighbours house as well as setting it up there. Please can someone give me straight forward advice and what I need:

I have a PC connected to the internet with BT(broadband), this connection is coming through a phoneline at 546k/sec and i have a SpeedTouch USB modem making it all happen.

What do I need to get this connection to share with my xbox. Cheapest, easiest and most convenient way.

If its cheaper to connect through blueyonder, let me know as I also have a blueyonder broadband connection upstairs.

Thank you in advance.
Joby :)

Simple.

You have a network card in your PC, right? (If you bought it within the last 2 years should have one standard, unless you built it yourself)

Get a suitabely long LAN cable.
Plug one end into your PC, other into the Box and set up ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

T'is all.

No you don't. If you have a USB modem then you have to run it through your PC thats all. Probably work out as the cheaper option as you only need a cross over cable and a Network card which will allow other PC's or consoles to share the connection.
