What is the Gaming worlds most wanted offender, is it anyone who ever even thaught buying a nintendo,or is it the companies that hold their biggest game of the year back again and again,until we cant even remember the name?
The answer is NO, although these things are high up on the list, the number one criminal in the gaming world is, hype.
but i guess you expected me to say that,after reading the title. so it would be nice if you just prentended to be shocked,and surprised.

When something is coming, a game, movie, event etc, it is every where. In the magazines we read, the web sites we browse and the conversation we um..um.. have.its like a virus that infects every part of outr brain.Over a space of time,we gradualy learn more about the thing that is being hyped,and we get excited.every where makes it out to be the next big thing,some thing that will change our lives for the better,for ever.then the thing is usualy held back,this just makes us want it more and more,so more hyp is built up.
Doesnt sound so bad, does it?

now that we are excited about this thing we cant wait for.then when it arrives it usualy turns out to not be much. you have been brain washed, by the mind controling virus that is hype.you have also just wasted a fair sum of money.

Hype began,when things began, if you know what i mean. Since there has been products and events, there has been hype. those of us who are a bit older may remember all the hype over sliced bread, cheese, the end of the last ice age and the first ever football match.

Hype is there because we want it. thats right, we want and need every last drop of hype that we can get. if there was no hype, there would be no magazines, and a lot of your favourite web sites, will not be there.we demand info on the latest games and crazes,we read it all,and take it all in, and are very happy.
When will hype go away?
Hype will be with us forever, or at least until no new stuff comes,when we cant take technology to the next level,when no one has any ideas for games and the movie industry has made hudreds of movies on every possible subject.but i wouldnt worry,as i think it will be a long time before that happens.

metal gear solid is probably the most hyped game at the moment,with all the pictures,video clips and the amazing demo.also the fact that it has been held back a lot,is making us foam at the mouth just that little bit more.when the game is released,will it live up to our high expectations? i hope it will,but you cant give a positivly 100% definate answer until we finaly play the completed game.

Imagine a game as a ball heading towards the wall of the Games industry.
Hype is the forces that slow this down.
If the ball travels too fast then it'll hit the wall and bounce off unnoticed.
People will hardly notice it. it'll be wasted.
If the ball slows down too much then it'll hit the wall and drop, making no impact whatsoever.
Companies normally prefer the drop to as it means more sales than if the title get's missed.
However, when a game does get the speed and get the bounce perfect, the impact is so big and noticable that this game sells billions.
It also helps if the ball is bigger but making the game is a copletely different story...
