Finally, after a US Robotics Sureconnect 9003 had a meltdown on me and was swiftly returned to Amazon, I have a working router, a new Zoom one which is 100% compatible with Xbox Live.

Anyway, this isn't technically a Xbox question but I know people like Adrian are on this forum who know about this networking stuff.

Here is what I'd like to know. Now I have the router and its attendent Firewall installed, it seems like I have two IP's when online. If I go to a site that detects IP on it then it comes up as my regular one, but if I use the IP Agent tool on https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Now, from reading a few bits, I figure that my IP address is basically the one I get with IP Agent because it hides your proper IP address from malicious applications etc

Why do I want to know ? Well I have Norton Firewall software application, so if the Firewall in the modem/router is all I need then I don't want to install Norton.

Any info at all would be helpful :)
