Just to say, Nintendo didn't show their new Mario game at E3 as it uses new gameplay idea's which Nintendo didn't want stolen and used before they release it.

In case you didn't know.

This is the thing.
It's NOT very early.
The game's been in development for over ***THREE YEARS***

If some other developer sees the game running, they can easily think "Ooooh, Mario can do this, this and this now, I'll code my own version of it into my latest game, get it out before Mario 128, then everyone will think it was our original idea and we'll get loads of accolades and credit".

um

no

"Most games are not ready very early. Its still very early. So how can other people steal ideas not created yet?"

You're saying Mario 128 is still in the early stages, so no one else can steal the ideas because they haven't got round to putting them in yet.

And I'm telling you that Mario 128 has been in development for 3 years, which means it is in the finishing stages of development, giving a very high chance of said ideas having been put in already.

Idiot.

I wasn't contesting all its possible features/why Nintendo is not releasing them yet.

If by early you mean in development for 3 years, then yes, you are correct.

AS long as it blows everything away like M64 did, and is also released on GC. GC2 is pencillled in for 2005 (why?!), so its pretty near impossible for Nintendo to delay it THAT long......

Hopefully.

Maybe so, but, this means that Nintendo can release their new feature before everyone else.

That's how the markets been for ages. Nintendo leads, everyone else follows. Yet still Nintendo come last. Talk about irony huh?

I'm surprised no-one's realised that no matter WHEN we know all the new ideas and innovations in ``Mario 128´´ - even if it's once it gets its Japanese release - just as long as the ideas are good-enough, they'll get nicked by some working-exclusively-for-PS2 company, anyway!!

All they're doing now is delaying the inevitable from happening - not stopping it!

Nah

That would require making a 'new' GBA Mario game...
