"movies and games, do they mix?"

you constantly hear about games that are so good that they are like a movie but what is good about that, why would you want to play a movie certainly if you did something wrong the whole thing would be messed up.
games shouldnt be like movies they should be a controllable experience with unique features.
is it just a coincidence that the best games arent like movies

Too many 'film-to-games' suck! Enter the Matrix could've been alot worse though.

Huh??? Final Fantasy IS like a movie! The games are very cinematic. I've always considered them to be like interactive books. The outcome is fixed, you just enable it to happen ;-)

Also MGS & MGS2 are very like movies, but are very good. It only falls apart when you try and make movies from games. Because Hollywood executives don't understand the appeal of the format they are trying to capitalise on. A good film could be made from a game if it was more than a cheap attempt to cash in, which it never is.
