As a fool who can do little inside the computer except install knew drive could somebody give me ahand translating some techno stuff: It is an abit motherboard located at

It only supports 200mhz FSB, so the latest Athlons (thunderbirds and athlonXPs) wont work, as they use a 266mhz FSB. You could pick up a better one supporting 266 for just over £100, but this one should take any processor up to around 1.33ghz, which I think is where they stopped producing 200mhz fsb.
It does seem to be Slot A, which I'd advise against, as socket processors are much easier to come by - have a look at the KT7 or KT7A, which is what I use.

The fastest Athlon Chip I have seen is an 1.8ghz
