The ìCountdown Showî opened up with Todd Pettingil telling you to order the event on PPV. Todd runs down the card also. A clip is shown from The Kings Court, from Raw, 3 weeks earlier, where Bret Hart has a face to face with Diesel and Shawn Micheals, ending with Bret Hart on the receiving end of a Jack-knife Powerbomb from Diesel and a stern kicking from Lawler. Pettingil does some more talking and continues promoting the PPV. Some footage of the qualifying matches are shown after that. The brackets were as follows:

Kwang fought Bob Holly in a ìpreliminaryî match, whilst Todd analysed the tournament. Then, Macho Man gives his predictions of the tournament. Johnny Polo interviews Mabel. Macho Man then comes out to the ring to do commentary. Some footage is shown from The Kings Court, from Raw, 2 weeks ago, where Jerry Lawler made a Roddy Piper imposter kiss his feet. Todd argues with Johnny Polo again and Todd reiterates the fact that you have to order it on PPV. Todd warms up the crowd, as the PPV is counted down.
As a special for the video, footage is shown of Jeff Jarrettís predictions for the tournament. All of the other participants appear and a big argument ensues.
A video package plays as the PPV begins. The national anthem is sung and the action gets underway, after the commentators analyse the card. Bam Bam Bigelow makes his way to the ring, accompanied to the ring by Luna Vachon, for his match with Razor Ramon. Razor walks to the ring and match begins.
Bigelow got in some decent moves and used his size as an advantage. Razor managed to fight back, using his speed against Bigelow. Razor manager to pull back the victory by surprising Bigelow.
Mabel talks trash to IRS, as the brackets are updated.
IRS walks to the ring, as he urges the crowd to pay their unpaid taxes. Mabel raps his way to the ring, accompanied by Mo, his co-rapper.
With the evil concoction of cheating and using Mabelís weight against him, IRS was able to muster the win.
Jim Cornette and his protÈgÈes were talking to the camera.
Tatanka danced to the ring, pumped up for his match. Owen Hart struts to the ring and the bell rings.
During the match, IRS and Razor Ramon were shown, being separated by referees, backstage. Owen took it to Tatanka, implementing fundamental manoeuvres, to an avail. Hart managed to pull a victory out of the bag, after a very sneaky manoeuvre.
Todd interviews Shawn Micheals and Diesel and a clip is shown from The Kings Court, from Raw, 3 weeks ago, where Diesel power bombed Bret Hart.
Jeff Jarrett struts to the ring and continues his strutting in the ring. The Kid walks out and the match begins.
The match evolves into a sea-saw situation, where both men seem to control certain parts of the match. The Kid managed to upset Jarrett and advance to the Quarter Finals. A fuming Jarrett beat the Kid and left the ring, as referees attended to the fallen Kid.
The commentators speculate about the Kidís health. A promo is shown for the New Generation. Todd interviews Bret Hart about his match with Diesel.
Diesel slowly walked to the ring, to build the tension, as Shawn Micheals accompanied him. Bret Hart walked to the ring with the WWF Title slung over his shoulder, intent on retaining the title. Hart gives his sunglasses to a fan and rolls into the ring, as the bell rings.
Bret goes for the large legs of Diesel and manages to ground Diesel. By the end of the match, both men are out of steam. Shawn Micheals continuously taunts Bret Hart, but The Anvil does the same to Diesel. Diesel had Bret beaten, but Anvil interefered and the referee disqualified Bret. Diesel and HBK attacked Bret after the match. Bret celebrated the retaining of his title with Anvil.
Todd interviewed The Anvil for his math with Roddy Piper.

Owen Hart walked down to the ring for his next match, but the question was, Will the 1-2-3 Kid make it after his injury? The Kid eventually appears and walks into the ring.
Owen applies the Sharpshooter to The Kid and he taps out after a painful move.
The Headshrinkers entered the ring. Their opponents, Yokozuna and Crush followed.
During the course of the match, Lex Luger came down and distracted Crush. The Headshrinkers capitalised and managed to score the easy win. Lugers and The Headshrinkers beat down Crush and Yoko after the match.
Todd interviews Owen Hart before his match in the finals.
Owen made his way out to the ring, as the tension built. Razor followed and the match was on.
With the assist of the Anvil, who turned heel, Owen was able to become 1994 King Of The Ring. Referees flocked into the ring to try and get some order to the chaos. Raymond Reaugeau interviewed Bret Hart, but Bret left no comment. Commentators talked over what just happened. Owen was eventually crowned king during a rather long ceremony by Todd.
Jerry Lawler entered the ring, followed by Roddy Piper.
Piperís friend begins insulting Lawler before the match. The hilarity ends and the match begins.
Piper eventually gets the win after a reasonable.
So, thereís the results in the slimming. Overall, it was a great event, with a strong tournament. Now Iím off to watch Best Of Raw 1 (from 1996, not VOLUME 1, which came out this year).
