Ive just emailed Nintendo of America to request that they make a VGA adaptor to allow us to play the Gamecube on our PC screens, using the up till now unused HDTV output, Im sick of pretenders that output to VGA and claim to provide improved resolution when all they do is convert the diabolical composite output into an equally diabolical VGA output.
I explained that there were BIG financial gains in it for them, since most people have a PC monitor tucked away somewhere.

RGB is good yes but soooo yesterday.I for one dont have a TV in my room all I have is a single LCD PC monitor that displays everything from TV to games, and it works out at a fraction of the cost of a "proper LCD tv", but its still only converting crappy composite vid to VGA. YUCK

NOW ITS DOWN TO YOU *Points* LETS GET THOSE E-MAILS FLYING

I'll let you guys in on the little secret, since I use the PC. If your looking to take screenshots like NGC by having your monitor act as a tv WITHOUT any hint of the comp being on then DONT BOTHER because the process involves an OS and stuff.

The way:

1)Get a Comp

2)Gather your console stuff together near it.

3) MAKE SURE your comp has a "capture card"

The capture card basically acts like an input to the TV, mostly the cheaply ones have the yellow, white and red ones. If your looking for sound mak sure the white plug socket is present.

4) Software should come with it and enable it to run whatever is in the input ( your gamecube).

VOILAAA!!!!

it works!!

Now the software SHOULD allow you to say freeze the moment etc THEN YOU WOULD TAKE PICTURES LIKE NGC.

IF NOT I suggest "print screen" on your keyboard. It will copy all your desktop in a picture and paste it into paint or PS or PSP

enjoy

NGC also use a PC monitor for taking screenshots of the game. I don't know how you do it though.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Brilliant service.
Love it, love it, love it!
