Not here, only in Japan.

Actually, it was called Project N2000 at first, then it changed to Dolphin - although Ninty didn't like it, and wanted to change it quickly. Luckily, the presss stuck with the name.

Hmmm, Echo the dolphin, a good game, but not good enough for a console, not one that need's to sell anyway.

your right, The gamecube isn't an amazing name but it's stating a fact, it's a cube and it plays games, nuff said.

The Dreamcast is good, a little differnet from Sega's older consoles, e.g. MegaDrive, oohh, mastersystem, aahh.
The GC reminds me of the Gamegear, well, kinda, it's a near resemblance. :)

For some reason, to me Dolphin sounds very Sega to me. Dont know why.
