I'm sure that most of you by now will have heard the news that the PS2 is going to be available in five new colours (limited supply). The controller is also the same colour as the console.

Red, Blue, White, Silver and Yellow - take your pick.

The silver one looks quite tasty but I'm really not sure about the rest of them. Blue just about works but the Red and Yellow looks horrendous!!

Question is, do you want a pink one or would you prefer a purple one? The choice is yours amigo......

Personally, PURPLE!! A nice perloid effect would look cool too... but I have just discovered that these babies will set you back a mere £286.00!! and only 66 of each are coming to the UK!!... Out with the spray paint then!!

I'm sure someone will be desperate to have a pristine white one but I honestly can't see people forking out almost £100 more for a PS2 in an awful colour.

Just buy a gamecube - that way you get a stupid colour straight away!!! ;)

This'll be the 3rd time I've said this, but what the heck...

A PS2 in the same translucent deep purple colour as the PS2 CD-ROM discs would be a must-buy for me.

I'd go with that - as long as it wasn't see-through, love that colour though.

I don't think they could make it completely see-through, as the light would interfere with the laser pickup on the discs.

I hadn`t thought of that! Now you mention it though, the purple (like the discs) would be an extremely cool colour to make the PS2!

It sure does PLaystations have always had cool looking discs remember the black cd's

Id go with purple. It would look quite cool. Especially if it would be transparent..
