Ok, just an idea and yet a valid enough argument to say the least.

Now people would have other's to believe that the Nintendo Gamecube and PS2 are on equal power with each other concerning graphics, despite the various mis-matches that exist between each systems.
I have always denied however that there is.

So I'll ask this question- "Why then does GC Versions of PS2 Games have superior features to their PS2 Counterpart, if that's the case?"

Ill name GC examples:
1. Tony Hawk's 3
2. Klonoa 2 ( Which has been announced to be of higher standard than PS2)
3. Extreme G3
4. NFL Blitz
5. FIFA 2002

These are a tiny few and there are many more.

Well?

The Performance Analyser isn't supposed to make the games look better; it tells developers where their code leaves spare processing power which can be used for other things.

The performance analyser was available for the Playstation as well; and it didn't make the game's look any better.
Iv'e the same feeling the same will happen for PS2.
But FACT!, The GC Will have better visuals than the PS2.

No, what you see now is what you'll get in 5 year's time. Now we have a Perfomrance Analyser, the graphical and technical standard of games will increase in leaps and bounds.

You've actually shot yourself in the foot here, because not only does the PS2 have more memory, it is able to split it up so it can use it more effectively.

As I understand it, the 'cube has less graphics memory than the PS2.

But then, it doesn't matter where you store things, as long as they're in the right place at the right time.

I had this lecture the other day from some guy that had worked on some Playstation games. He said that the amount of memory for graphics was really small, and there was too much memory for sound that you would need and so they programmed the game so that some of the graphics were stored in the sound memory.
