mine always works if...
i put it in on the homepage
then click retry
then click renew session or something
then put it in again and it works in an ntl thing rather than outlook
this may not work for you but also today i got an email from ntl saying they are sorry for the faults and have improved the service. read it if you get it. its a bit pointless but it gives a poor reason. and try my thing aswell.
