The new PS2 and the Gamecube etc claim to be changing the way we play games but where are the new ideas for games. Yes the graphics have been vastly improved but thats it. The consoles boast of sequel after sequal. For example Crash Bandicoot In its fouth installment yet the basic format for the game is relatively the same. I think its time for a new genre of Gaming, a game that blows the mind like Final Fantasy 7 did on the PS. What about games being hooked up to some sort of lighting system which darkens the room or strobe lighting to really help you feel the mood of a game or possibly a game that can allow the player to effect the ending instead of a set ending. But one thing is for sure that new ideas are needed or Sony and Nintendo will find rapidly decreasing sales.
