So what I want to know is, how often does this happen to you? And what tunes have you got mixed up in this fashion? And at what point in the tune?
Here are a few which I have got mixed up when whistling:
- Mario Kart 64 End Credits theme and "My HEart Will Go On" by Celine Dion
- 42ATC menu theme and Banjo Kazooie's Spiral Mountain theme
- The theme to Earnest Goes to Jail and "Pisstastic" in CBFD
You can probably tell by that list that I'm more into gaming than music. :)
Of course it helps that they were both composed by the same guy, and he's notorious for ripping off his own music, but still, every time without fail if I'm whistling the theme for Glory I'll end up doing Braveheart.
And yeah, all John Williams music goes together, I often whistle montages at work. My mate Steve joins in, everyone else nearby just looks puzzled.

i`ve tested this, and it`s possible to get into star wars from a LOT of classical music.

thunderbirds
monty python
jurassic park
