I had a game Idea like this a few years ago and then the next week I heard a similar game was in development and so forgot about my idea. I wonder if it is the same game that has been in development for all this time?

Excellent. Only the greatest may wear lycra underpants outside their trousers, whilst the less renowned have to make do with stubble and a ropey cowboy outfit.

Funny I was just going to mention Freedom Force, a game in which you will be a SUPERHERO! Of course it's more like design your own super hero or team of heroes with strengths and weaknesses and you can even design what they look like and what their powers look like. Apparently you can even make super villans but I think that may have just been a rumour. It sounds like it could be very good, as long as it's not just a novelty game for making up funny superheroes. Let's hope the game itself is worth playing.

This MMORPG Superhero game sounds allright, but I expect it will only be for people with cahs to burn on monthly fees and broadband connections to keep up with all the info that is being transferred. As with most MMORPGs really. I wonder how it will work for things to do though, will you have to go out and do heroic deeds, in which case how will there always be a deed that needs doing? Perhaps they will have some sort of Damsel In Distress Generator system that creates disasters all over the city. Maybe you will be able to have big superhero fights or even be a super villan and try to stop any heroes. Not sure how it would all work but that's why they don't pay me to make games. Planetside should be good though, except that you will probably need Broadband to keep up. I'm surprised at the lack of hype around Planetside myself but it does seem to be building.
