Hey. Now here is something. Think of Tony Hawks. Good music is played on it. Right? So what kind of music would you like on a racing game? Or a platformer? I think games need good background music to make you want to play the game more.

I would like rock music on some particularly hard boss in a game. And in a racing game I would have fast music to go with the speed of the racers. Tony Hawks is a prime example of good music in the type of game it goes with. The 3rd version on X-Box will let you download your own music on to the game. It might be a good addition but it may make people download a Hearsay song for example onto some particularly spooky or fast paced level.

Some tunes I really like. Like the heavy metal sort of music on F-Zero-X. It is fast paced for a fast paced game and it also sounds quite cool.

Some tunes really get to me. Like some of the ones in No Mercy. I eventually just switch them off which makes the game more boring but I hte those rubbishy tunes. All wrestling games in my opinion have bad music. Smack Down 2 has terrible music.

In my opinion, good music is needed to make a game flow. What would be the kind of music you would have in a RPG, Racing, Fighting, etc? And do you think the new Tony Hawk X-Box idea is a good or bad innovation?

Thanks 4 reading, Afro.

It would be good but those guys at Ninty don't have the technical brain power of the Afro. Extra space you see.

*Fog drools, that would take too much thinking power, but yes, it is a nice thought, maybe you can buy a CD extension like the Mega Drive had, so you can play CDs and DVDs, yummy.

GC has space for multiple discs in the console at once and on the DVD player there could be a game and a CD playing. Probably not but it is a thought.

Yeah, they are, but they only take the better parts from them, e.g. internet, keyboards and mice, external speakers and Hdds, nothing bad about them, their clock speeds are still twice the speed of a PC so they won't slow down much from using them :)

That'll happen as soon as hdds are commonplace and hold the entire game.

Turning into PCs more and more by the day...

That's a good idea, but I feel MP3s are going down hill, if they're not already at the bottom, I only ever see them when my friends bring files into college and thats a rare sight. i'm hoping for a console that allows you to play a CD while running a game, yet the game will still be able to play without swapping discs...

Doesn't the XBox hold your MP3s on it's hard disc so you can choose your playlists for different games?

I always listen to fast punk music like NOFX and Greenday when im playing racing games. Trust me it adds a lot to the gaming experience, it even makes games like Star Wars Episode 1 Racer seem brilliant.

These could all have been their own topic. And they would be better than mine. All those long replies.
