You know, those free things that come with newspapers; movies, TV episodes, games and CDs.

Would anyone be interested in swapping them? I'm thinking of perhaps doing a website for swapping promo discs (as the only swap websites at the moment are for retail discs). It would just be a meeting place for people to swap, rather than something you need to pay for. I'd use advertising/banners to make any money from it.

Anyway, it would be a freeola hosted site, as I'm impressed with the price and the sites people have created so far. Do you think it would take off?

Well, if eBay's the place then I'll sell some of the great many that are lying around my house... but you're not supposed to re-sell them, right? :S

Thanks for the feedback. That's the thing, someone might want them. I've bought and sold a few cover discs and collections on ebay.

A site like this'd be pretty good; I have dozens of CDs and DVDs I've got from promotional offers because they came with the paper or sometimes specifically for the freebie, even though I don't have much chance of actually watching many of 'em.

I have two disks from my Frosties box that you can have - no swap required, I think there is usually a good reason as to why they are free, its a great idea but not sure how many folk would want to swap free disks or just put them in the bin, it would require a great deal of advertising to get it to take off I think.

Bar advertising on the site there'd be little money in it. People would use it though. I suggest you let people leave feedback on swappers so people can see the honest swappers and avoid the scum .

There was that big company who did something similar...had TV advertising and everything...that went downhill though and I've never heard of them in the last 5-10 years and no idea what the company was either...probably SWAP-IT.com or something :/ But yeah it could be good! And I mean that...no sarcasm there..really there isn't :)
