I have a MadCatz memory card as the official one wasn't available at the time I bought my PS2. I've had it 9 months and it's been fine. I tried to load a game yesterday and my PS2 said the memory card was corrupt. I can't load or save any games and I don't have an option to format the card. I bought it from HMV but they said its not their problem. Sony obviously said the same thing. Have I now got a useless £30 lump of plastic or can I make the card usable again?

I didn't get the PS2 at launch, I got it between Xmas and New Year, by then the PS2 was available but the official memory cards had sold out. I normally only buy Official peripherals (have just ordered a new card from SR) but I had to settle for a MadCatz card at the time as it was the only one available.

Does anyone know of a madcatz website? I have found the US site and mailed their tech support people but I can't find anyone in the UK.

Yeah I always buy official stuff. I bought a 3rd party memory card for PSone and it just refused to work with some games. Not only that but some games wouldnt run with that card in....

Sorry to hear about that, I lost all my saves when my card packed in a while ago but if you stick with official products if anything goes wrong, no matter how long you've had it Sony will replace them free of charge.

What a nice bunch :-)
