The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Iím just on the outskirts of the SR plains now, and I can see all the different forums around me. Right, now just ahead of me I can see the dense FOG encompassing the Future of Gaming prime topics and chat forums. I can hear a spot of commotion coming from a clearing over there, letís go in for a closer look.
*Steve crouches low and edges towards the clearing*
It looks like we can see two of the natives scrapping. If we are really quiet, we can here what theyíre saying:
ìI tell you, the optical discs make no difference to loading timesî
ìBut the head of Nintendo said that because the laser has further to move-î
ìDamnit Dringo, you berk! The time the laser moves is called seek time. It makes absolutely no difference! The GC des have shorter loading times, but it has nothing to do with the discsÖî
ìBut why did the head say-î
ìARGH! Because they were lying to you like they always do!î
ìBut-î
ìARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH!î
ìOi! Turbonutter!î
It looks like one of them has run off somewhere, and the other mite has been left with nothing to do. Hang on, heís coming over here, better hide.
*They hide, but cameras have an annoying tendency to have red lights on the front*
Holy wallabies, weíve been rumbled!
ìWho are you?î
Iím Steve Irwin, master explorer
ìBloody newbieî
*Dringo kicks Steve*
Iíve just been attacked for no reason by one of the inhabitants, itís obvious the creatures round here are more dangerous than I thought. Letís keep moving, and cover up that bloody light.
*Steve hears a rumbling from behind him*
What the dingo is that? I can see a huge creature rambling about the forest. Great apes, I think heís seen me. Heís coming over.
ìHi, whatís your name?î
Iím Steve Irwin? Famous nature documentarist? Ever heard of me?
ìNah, I donít watch television. Too busy. Iím Ali, are you new here?î
Yeah
ìPlanning to stay for long?î
Nah, just gonna finish this-
ìHere, have a free gameî
Oh. Thank you. I might stay a little longer. It appears I have just been given a welcoming gift by one of the watching creatures that roam around. Iím going to follow him. It looks like he just listens in on people. Oh wait, heís leaving to go off somewhere.
I must say that this place is a strange land. Already Iíve seen natives fighting, been randomly attacked and given a free computer game. Iím going to have to investigate furtherÖî
