I apoligize for this being off the subject a bit but it is something that is annoying me.

My school Duncanrig, is not too bad. The teachers are good and it has good success rate.

It was built in 50's and really in 50 years has had no improvements. Science tables all same... wooden crap... anyway so they eventually get to build new toilets as the old ones were a hole in the wall basically (really).

So they have them, nice and new. I have been back at school for 2 months and once out of a few cases needed to go to toilet (when you gotta go etc.). I have been refused many times, no reason.

Just no you can't go.

Fine. So my concentration in work goes down and I'm very funned off.

I'm not a bloody child. I maybe only be 15 but it is rather embarrasing in the first place to ask to go to the toilet, I can see the logic, many morons would just go for skive.

They want to look after them noe so have attendent. You can't go during classes or break, YOU NEED A PERMISSION SLIP FROM TEACHER... so then you ask your next class teacher to go... YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE BEFORE CLASS...

" I NEED YOUR BLOODY PERMISSION ".

Anyway so today I'm bursting and ask...

NO you can't.

Can I ask why?

Just sit down please (Sheepy).

Look Mr (name) I need to go to the toilet, its bad enough I need to ask, I need your permission, I can't go during break. I can't concentrate on work, all I'm asking is to go to the toliet and take 2 mins off my work.

Wait behind at the end please (Sheepy).

I say fine...

I storm out class go to toilet, try to get stopped by assistant person but go anyway.

Come back to get bollarding... just ignore it, saying I needed to go.

That is not right in my opinion.

I'm not a moron, I'm usually very quite and get on with work but when somethign like that happens I lose the plot.

So yes :-)

I'm okay now, said he respected my comments but not to show him up infront of class.

Result for me (a bit).

Funny enough i had this problem.....in College. Yep, from the age of 16-19 i had to ask the teacher to use the toilet before i could go and many times i was told "can't you wait till the end of the lesson?" or "No" of course this didn't stop me from just walking out. The only reason i asked was that if i just got up and walked out the teacher would stop me and we would have a right old shouting match in front of the whole class about me going for a slash. On one such occasion i was actually told not to come back for the rest of the lesson if i went, that didn't stop me from going. And when i had a lesson again with the same guy the next day he told me off for a whole 55 minutes. This was when i was 18.
It wasn't that i had a weak bladder either, it was just that too many cups of coffee in the morning before going to college then having to work for roughly 3 hours before having a break was a bit of a strain.
The teacher in mention has now retired, he was roughly 66-69.

If you need to go you, need to go and if anybody tries to stop you, just say i can either P*** in the toilet or P*** on the floor, worked for me.

I have never needed to go whilst at school.

Strange that - I've never been inside our school toilets. I reckon its because I have an amazingly strong bladder.

All the primary schools I've taught in have let the pupils go to the toilet when they wanted, without asking. They were only allowed two at a time though, and the teacher can always keep an account of how long they take and how often, just in case the pupil is trying to pull one over on the teacher.

So, yeah, I disagree with any teacher who says that their class will be disrupted if the students are allowed to go to the toilet, that went out in the 60's.

I can see your point and it is really annoying when you "need" and can't go. But if they let one go then more would try and eventually it would become difficult to teach if you constantly get interupted by people asking to go to the toilet.
I remember in my primary school class the teacher refused to let a boy in our class go to the toilet so he decided just to get up and go in the corner of the room. It was hilarious for the rest of us but he wasn't given much hassle as teachers shouldn't prevent you from going to the toilet if you really need to go.

Sounds a little militant to me. Are you sure your schools not secretly controlled by Fascists who believe toilet regulation is the first step to world domination?

Ah too much sarcasm in that post :-P

If not apoligizes :-D

It is a very small and petty matter but this is where everyone in the world goes wrong, a child who is not allowed to go to the toilet will go insane and stand around bustops and can't speak correctly.

Surly in this day and age, Your school is breaking at least one of the human rights laws? Firstly having to ask permission to go to the toilet and secondly denying such a request. If I was you I would get my parents to write a strongly worded letter to your headmaster and further more you should phone childline or similar such helpline and gain advice.

Alternatively you could tell your teacher to P""" o"" and just go p""" on his car.
