I have just scanned through a full release list of Xbox games however it seems a few games have slipped through our hands. Last December Ninja Gaiden, Operation Flashpoint, Robocop (not really bothered about this one), Team SAS and Crimsons Skies were all given early 2003 release dates. 7 months down the line and not only are they still in development but there hasn't been any details about either of the games which I have listed.

I have emailed Codemasters about 5 times regarding Operation Flashpoint XB and every time they say that development has finished and its ready to ship soon. The first of those emails was back in the August of last year and there still hasn't been anything released on the game. The original screen shots are the only information we have about the title and I am starting to get a bit worried as to whether or not the game will hit the shelves. Being a big fan of military games I am highly anticipating a game which seemed to put my PC though too many paces. If anyone has any links to articles, LIVE info, video footage or recent screen shots then please post them in here. One of my most anticpated titles to date and I can not seem to find anything on it.

Secondly up steps Ninja Gaiden. The E3 video of last year add sauce to an already sizzling pot however since then it seems to have disappeared completely. Where are the days when the first level would be released as a BETA demo? We don't even have any solid information regarding what the game will involve or whether or not it is similar to the Devil May Cry game engine. As a development company I have been very impressed with what Team Ninja have done and what they have promised to do. Anything remotely considered in the same league as Devil May Cry deserves something released about it so that we can see what the hell they are doing. Any information regarding the style of play or any links to recent video files would be appreciated.

The final 3 remain a mystery as well. Robocop has been set back every month since January of this year and I am starting to wonder how bad this game actually was at the time when they were contemplating a release. There hasn't been any solid information or even a running demo to show of the movements and environments on offer. Maybe it would be a blessing in disguise if it never reached the shops, who knows?!

Team SAS was going to be a title focused on LIVE play and at the time it sounded very promising. The last bit of information I read on the game with any decent details was last November. It was going to be a LIVE launch title originally however the gameplay needed some tweaking. 9 Months down the line and still nothing else.

Last but by far not the least is the interesting looking Crimsons Skies. A decent air combat game to be released on a console is something you don't see every day but early footage and information suggested this would break the trend. Sadly it seems that the game won't be hitting the shops this year despite release dates suggesting otherwise. No information was released as to why it wouldn't be released however I would be interested to know when they plan to release it. Full LIVE support will be available and by the looks of it I can not wait to see it up and running.

All of the above seem to have disappeared into the mist without a trace. When a Publisher sets a release date I expect it to be launched around that time. If there were so many problems with Operation Flashpoint then why not stick a TBA on the release? Instead they have promised to release it each month only to let people down at the last minute. I haven't even seen any video files to suggest that it has been finished as Codemasters keep stressing.

Anyone know when the hell these games will hit the shops or at the very least something worth reading or watching?

Codemasters are gay, that's the only explanation I can think of.

Cheers! That explains why there isn't anything at all any where on the net about Team SAS other than the original game details. There still doesn't seem to be an explanation for Operation Flashpoint though...

Team SAS was being developed by Rage who, unfortunately, went under some time ago. Development on all projects was indefinitely halted.
