I'm thinking of getting a USB Memory card and my subject says it all, I have loads of Super Monkey Ball 2 replays which I want to convert to .mpg or .avi so people can download them onto their PC and watch them without the need for a 'Cube (I will also have the original format replay available for those who want to download onto their 'Cube memory card to watch)

thanks

he said he did it from the GC memory card, prehaps he was pulling my pl*nker ?, I had a TV card with RF input from my video which was great for recording replays, but unfortunately that PC has gone to PC heaven now :(

Card was a Pinnacle one hee on SR for £30, the qulaity was good but files needed compressing due to size, will find out more about the GC memory card replays hopefully.

Yeah I'm positive you can't convert the files. After all, the files don't hold the actual replay, just digits telling the game what position the car (For example) is in, or where the player kicked the ball, so the game can play this back. You would need the game on your computer as a rom if you want to do what you said.

Well he either did what Nath said and recorded movies directly from the GC and saved them in mpeg format. Or there's some software lying about on the net that lets you do this. I personally think he's done it the first way.

Unfortunately you can't. Basically the save files just store data, and when the game reads the data it loads up data off it's disk and plays the replay. As the game engine isn't on your PC then the save files are useless, and can only be used to be stored so you can put them on to your card when you wish. See what I mean? You may be able to send the files to someone with a video card so they can record directly from the Cube?
