May I just suggest that you don't include old posts with yours, as it can make the post harder to read.

As you know, I'm clueless about Macs, but I do know how to use a search engine...

"An "invalid PEOF" is an invalid Physical End Of File. This error means Disk First Aid found a problem with the length of a particular file and cannot fix it. Apple suggests you backing up the data and reformatting the drive even if a commercial utility like Norton or Tech Tool Pro give it a clean bill of health."

Oh, then sorry, don't know jack abotu Mac's though maybe it's something to do with a bad segment on your Hard Drive, a scratch or something, but again, I don't know nothing about Mac's.

That's why I thought you won't be able to help. I'm on an iMac y'see...

Anyway, it's a hard drive error apparently, and that piece of text was taken from Disk First Aid.
