Now on to the controller. Yes, when it first came out it did look a bit weird at first but people eventually learned to like it. Miyamoto said at first that 3 hands are not needed and that was quite a funny statement as it looks like that when about to use it for the first time. Most people will probably admit to using the D-Pad at first when playing their first game (maybe not). I did. The conrtoller was gotten used to and never really hurt my hands at all unlike the DC controller. It could also be used for co-operative missions, like in Sin and Punishment (my friend has a Japanese copy) using one person shooting and the other walknig and moving around. Also 4 of the controllers could be used at once in a 4 player. No multitaps needed.
by the way the 3 N64 games left to come out are Mario Party 3, Powerpuff Girls and Pokemon Stadium G/S. Not really very exiting but it will get a bit more money in the closing off of the N64.
That is the end of my talk about the tribute to the N64 and now starts the writing about the Gc.
Unlike the N64, the GC uses discs. Smaller shaped than usual but they are still discs. Discs helped the Playstation do so well as they are easy to make games on and don't cost as much. Their will be no backwards competibility but it is not needed as the GC will have many more workers to bring on more games which will take the profits of GC even higher.
The control of the GC looks (and feels as I have used one) really good. It feels as if it is part of your hand, that is how confortable it is.
Games. Now here is where the good bit on the GC comes in. The GC will play amazing graphics on good games. The looks on the future coming game Star Wars : Rouge Leader look unbelievably good. It is rumored that the game will play like a dream as well. Wave Race has the best water effects that I have ever seen. (I have played the game and it is good.) Smash Bros will almost play the same as the old version but with lots of new characters and tracks added in.
Panasonic are releasing their special version of the GC. It will play DVDs. The Panasonic GC will probably not sell as much as the original GC but it will keep many hardcore Nintendo fans into buying the machine as it will play DVDs and many like DVDs as well.
One of the other facts that Ninty are trying to tell as that they are going to keep games available for older gamers. With Eternal Darkness, loads of Resident Evils and Turoks coming it looks as if the GC will have a few games for the older.
So I am still deciding on whether to get a Gc but I think I will. It really will be a great console.
So buy to the N64 and roll on GC.
Thanks 4 reading, Afro.
Also they are impossible or very hard to pirate meaning no crappy pirate games.
