It was an old game and featured two animals, one was blue (ice) and the other was red (fire) can't remember alot about it but i remember it was good. games that were also good:

Alex in wonderland
Spy Vs spy

*a game where you played as a little duck/chicken i think it was a bit of an austrailian game*

yeah, it was pretty cool..
i quite enjoyed Brian the Lion too, really colourful and vibrant :)

Yeah, I remember it. I think you played some kind of a coyote in a sprawling platform collect-em-up adventure.

It was quite a good game and got rave reviews across the board.

Fire and Ice was good but I never got round to finishing it.

Harlequin was a gem amongst stones ...

to expand the nostalgia, I recall you had to knock teddy bears off large balloons, which you could then steal to fly with.

Fire and Ice on the amiga had really good inertia code i seem to remember... took some getting used to though. evolved from where Harlequin left off :)

It was rock hard, and the rock, paper, scissors was... well.. pointless.
