So many posts going about shouting "Ban 'im!". Dammit people, flaming is just as bad as spamming, you should know that.
This place here is losing it's community spirit. There are many posts that I cannot be bothered to get involved with, as either the post is replied to by a spammer, or it's a post about how annoying spammers are. Perhaps we have run out of topics to talk about, but surely we have the imagination to think of something new. Where are all the stories gone? The threads with just jokes in? It's all spamming and flaming nowadays, and it's turning people away.
A note to spammers. Don't. It's not helping the site and it's not interesting for others to read. If you were down the pub and a stranger came up to you and interrupted your conversation with this stuff youd be annoyed too. If you spam people will turn against you. If you spam you will not win a GAD.
A note to cheaters. Remember that SR can be done over for copyright if you nick a review on another site. If they were sued, GAD would be no more. If you want to win a GAD, work for it yourself. Think how you would be if a pirate won a GAD over your thread you spend 2 hours on. Cheating is for people who have no ability to do it right, and you are conning the site, the other users, and yourself.
A note to flamers. (not the ones from burger king...). People will spam. People will get annoyed about not winning the GAD, and shout about it. Starting threads abut how you want people to be banned because they are thick or whatever doesnt help. It'll just cause more of an argument and the other person will spam more. Remember what it was like when you were a newbie. I remember writing a lot of rubbish because I was trying to be noticed. It's not how it works here, and you know how it does, but they dont. give em a bit of leaway. If they are really offensive, tell them, or click the report to a moderator button. Posting a new topic about it just makes it worse.
I really like this place, not just the GAD, but the people, the chat, the laughs, and the GAD as well :), and I dont want to see it go up the shi**er because of silly things. Let people be who they want to be. Let this place welcome everybody in, and they will learn how to get along with the rest of us in time, and we might all be better for it.
