Someone a while ago said g-surfers used a new technique that loads quietly in the background, Jak and Daxter does the same thing it streams the levels together with no interuption to the gameplay AT ALL.

The needed information is loaded in memory during the game which allows a constant flow in gameplay, no bars, loading screens or anything just complete free roaming in that MASSIVE world. sounds very promising :-)

Anyone heard any more on this?

I heared Jak and daxter does this and i heared that when the hdd comes out that most games will do this by putting the info on the hdd rather than loading from disk.

i have heard that but it said in some magazine it was one BIG load at the beginning and then just the game all the way though

Well i don't see how that can happen because where does all the info it loaded at the start go cause ps2 only has small memory.....i'm not making sense am i.
