Every 22nd April the world celebrates Earth Day. Or at least it should.
The movement was started in the US in 1970 and while some may scoff at one of the least environmentally friendly countries being responsible for such an event it's probably just want the US needs to keep up awareness and fight the cynicism inherent in that country.
However, Earth Day has never really been about one country and it's officially recognised as a world day where everyone across the world is urged to think about the environment.
