Somehow 3 Tangles avoided the pink rod, and the real Tim Croft accepted it, a little too keenly I thought. Good choice though as he was straight in with the nights only Bollen on bare shrimpers.
Bait fish were hard to find, but eventually the skipper listened to the crew and we bagged up on sandeel, Mr Payton ambushed a billy no mates grey gurnard at the same time, and 3 tangles (with a lot of assistance from the skipper) ragged a coley.
A strong cold N/W wind was blowing so the cosey corner near the galley kept thier heads down, which was nice. Mr Palmer flattered to decieve with an improving choice of rigs - but we are not fishing off Florida, who is going to tell him ?
The pretend Tim Croft caught a decent Callig in the twighlight of the trip so good of him to join in at last.
Prior to that a titchy codling, loads of Ling, for MOST rods a few more Callig and a couple of bursts of Pouting - the original tangler (Oggo) being the champeen. Kinney is doing a Raffa and depite flash resources needs to sort out his team seection,the Other John is vastly improved and doing a Fulham.
Equal 5 spieces so another roll over and no fish above the magic 5 pounds.
A little moment in time was the high alltitude plane circling us, the first we have seen for days, it was apparently from N America looking for an airport to accept it, due to the volcanic ash restrictions.
