And you thought THPS2 would never be surpassed!

I have just watched the video (from PlanetGamecube.com) and the game looks great! They haven't just put on a prettier face, the physics look better, and there are indicators that tell you where you are in a move (Handplant etc)

I stared downloading the video at about 9:40... bloody 56k modems... :D But it's worth it... the landsacapes and backgrounds look great....

I've never been one for skating games, but this might just change all that...

Anyone else seen the video...

(This should be in 'Chat'...)

AirBlade looks like a very novel idea. I can't wait!

Is that the one with snowboarding, skateboading, skiing and all that?

Yeah, Tony Hawks 3 and Airblade both look great, and after seeing the rolling demoes of both of them, I was very impressed.

When I saw the demo for that ESPN Skateboarding (by Konami), I was a little disappointed. That pop-up is quite atrocious. I hope that is sorted out by the time it is released.

THPS3 will obviously sell more though, but Airblade may still be equal/better. A lot of really excellent games get overlooked, such as the fantastic Rollcage and Rollcage Stage 2. Both were really ace games, especially if you liked WipEout, but in the shops they (for some unkown reason) they just didn't shift. Shame, really, because the general public was always missing out on something special.

Ok, for now it can just be a difference of opinion. When both games are out and the reviews and sales figures are released, you'll see what I'm talking about.

But there are some ssential differences betwen the two which could set them apart, equal in opposite ways.

Airblade has less environments and less tricks and less history etc.

It may well be good!?! But I don't think Tony's crown is likely to be moving any time soon.

The only advantage it has is that its released earlier.

It's on GC too.
And with superior visuals, according to Neversoft.
